The time has finally come! The countdown to the much-awaited Cricket T20 World Cup 2024 will come to an end tomorrow on June 1. This historic tournament will start with the opening match of first-time participants Canada and the USA, marking the U.S.'s debut as a co-host in an International Cricket tournament.
For the first time, the Cricket T20 World Cup will feature 20 teams, up from the previous 16. These teams will be divided into four groups, with the top two from each group advancing to the Super 8 round. The Super 8s will consist of two groups, and the top two teams from each group will then progress to the semi-finals.
There will be a total of 55 matches in the 2024 World Cup. In the USA, games will be hosted across three states: New York, Florida and Texas. Additionally, six nations within the West Indies will serve as hosts: Antigua & Barbuda, St. Vincent Barbados, Guyana, Saint Lucia, and the Grenadines, and Trinidad & Tobago.
Cricket fans are especially excited about the match between arch-rivals Pakistan and India, which is set for June 9 at Eisenhower Park, New York. The final between the winners of semi-finals will be played on June 29 in Barbados.
